Albanian Economy Is Getting Better - Minister Unveils New Figures

Good news on the Albanian economy situation. Finance minister, Arben Ahmetaj, presented on Tuesday the new figures of the incomes for the first four months of this year, saying that they are promising while denying the declarations that a number of foreign investors are leaving Albania.

“During the period January-May 2016 we have an increase of the foreign and local businesses. Employment was also increased in 4.8%. Meanwhile unemployment decreased with 0.4%,” said Ahmetaj in a joint conference with the representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Albania, Jens Reinke.

He accepted that despite the new data, the level of unemployment in Albania is still high.
