The Minister of Foreign Affairs Ditmir Bushati attended the Adriatic-Ionian Council Initiative and the European Union Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region foreign ministers meeting in Dubrovnik. In a short speech in front of the participants in this meeting Minister Bushati praises the EUSAIR strategy considering this a qualitative step toward a higher regional cooperation.
“This strategy is an important step for a complete integration of our economies in the European Union unified market. This region, situated beside the Adriatic-Ionian space, should become an economic region in order to achieve the commercial exchange with EU continuity” declared Minister Bushati.
Among the EUSAIR priorities he underlined the importance for Albania of the connection in the transports and energy sector, focusing on the Adriatic-Ionian highway and the Adriatic-Ionian pipeline.
