'Commander' Title to Be Awarded to Ismail Kadare in France

The French Republic president, Francois Hollande, will award on Monday the “Commander of the Legion of Honor” title to the well-known Albanian writer, Ismail Kadare during a solemn ceremony in the presidential palace. This ceremony that will be hold in the presidential palace at 18:00 will be attended by a small number of invited guests. This high title is rarely awarded by the president because it is often handed over by the presidency’s officials. Even when this title is handed over by the president the ceremony includes a number of personalities. This is a special honor reserved to the Albanian writer. A cocktail for the invited guests will follow the ceremony as a further special honor and a sign of respect for the highly praised writer Ismail Kadare.
