"The Maids", a master-piece of the French drama, written by Jean Genet, will be the next play to come on stage in the National Experimental Theater �Kujtim Spahivogli� . This play will be presented to the audience under the direction of Ki�o Londo who chose a brilliant cast of actors like Laura Nezha, Dasara Xhangolli and Ilirida Bejleri.

The production is a cooperation of this theater with the French Embassy in Tirana and is presented in the framework of �French Theater Festival� project.

The Maids was first performed at the Th��tre de l'Ath�n�e in Paris in a production that opened on 17 April 1947, which Louis Jouvet directed. The play�s subject moves around Solange and Claire two housemaids who construct elaborate sadomasochistic rituals when their mistress (Madame) is away. The focus of their role-playing is the murder of Madame and they take turns portraying both sides of the power divide. Their deliberate pace and devotion to detail guarantees that they always fail to actualize their fantasies by ceremoniously "killing" Madame at the ritual's d�nouement.

Next Saturday will mark the play�s premiere while a tour in a number of cities is expected to follow the initial presentation in Tirana.
