The Albania�s National Hero Gjergj Kastriot Scanderbeg 550th anniversary of death will be commemorated through a series of activities to be organized on Wednesday in Tirana. The activities will begin with the opening of an exhibition titled �The Great Year� in the National Historic Museum premises and will then continue with a planning of some 550 trees by the Arberesh community representatives along with Mayor Erion Veliaj in Petrela hills.

After then a number of high state officials from Albania, Kosovo and other Albanian speaking regions will attend a special ceremony that will start with a march from �Mother Teresa� square to �Scanderbeg� square. The participants will place flowers in �Scanderbeg�s monument.

A grandiose concert in the Orthodox Cultural Center that will include Arberesh songs will finally lower the curtains of these commemorative events in honor of Albania�s national hero.
