The chairwoman of Foreign Policy Committee, Mimi Kodheli reacted over the assassination one day ago in Mitrovica of Oliver Ivanovi�, one of the most prominent political leaders of Serbs in Kosovo.

Through a public statement issued on Wednesday she labeled this murder as a criminal act with political background, adding that it had been repeatedly forewarned by Ivanovic.

�This grave act holds the signature of those aiming to destabilize Kosovo and incite hatred and tensions between Albanians and Serbs. I call upon Kosovo authorities to throw light as soon as possible on the motives of this murder in order to avoid the negative influence on the dialogue between two countries and the region�s countries peaceful progress toward EU,� declared Kodheli.
