The Ambassador of China to Albania Jiang Yu had recently a meeting with Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha during which the two interlocutors expressed the support to the advancing of Sino-Albanian relations.

According to the announcement of the Press Office of the Chinese Embassy, ??the two sides exchanged views on Sino-Albanian relations, exchanges between parties, etc.

During the meeting, Ambassador Jiang Yu said that the Sino-Albanian relations have maintained the positive trend of sustainable, healthy and rapid development.

“High level contacts between the two countries are numerous, member of the State Council of China, deputy chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Assembly and a delegation of the Communist Party of China visited Albania. On the other hand, the Speaker of Parliament Ilir Meta will visit China, thus deepening exchanges between governments, parliaments and parties of the two countries,” the ambassador stressed.

She added that the Economic and Trade Relations between China and Albania have expanded further, referring to the acquisition of TIA by the Chinese Group Everbright, acquisition of ARMO company by Geo-Jade of China as well as the progress achieved in bilateral cooperation in large projects.

At the same time, Ambassador said that the bilateral cooperation in the field of human exchanges, education, health, art, news, justice, etc., has yielded good results.

“Local exchanges between the two countries have developed steadily. During the year, five pairs of provinces and cities placed Sino-Albanian friendly relations exchanges, further strengthening bilateral friendship basis,” further said the ambassador.

On the other hand, she stressed that the Democratic Party is an important force in the Albanian political arena while she added that “China pays special importance to developing friendly cooperative relations with it and wishes to constantly strengthen exchanges between the two sides.”

On his part, Mayor Lulzim Basha praised the active results achieved in recent years in terms of Sino-Albanian relations and stressed that the friendship with China is the common desire of all political actors.

“Albanian Democratic Party supports the comprehensive development of relations with China, because it is of great importance for Albania. This party will continue to promote the development of the Albanian-Chinese relations playing a more active role in the deepening of real cooperation between the two countries,” said Mr. Basha.
