The 10th edition of the international Festival “Musical Encounters Between Two Worlds” kicked off with the unusual concert of  sacred music from four religious communities of Albania. For the first time artists from four religions were brought up together at the Cultural Center of the Orthodox Cathedral in a very special concert that brought up the message of peace and love beside their different traditions. Argjiro, organiser of the Festival this jubilee has dedicated to the Dialogue of Cultures.

Last night, artists from Montenegro,  Vox2Feel duo, performed together with Albanian young artists in Shkodra at the ARKA cultural youth center. Vox2Feel duo, a special duo combination of the soprano,  Bojana Kuki?-Pejanovi?  and the guitarist  Nedeljko Pejovi?, brought to ARKA quite a holistic atmosphere with the Handel, Vivaldi, Dupere, Gershwin  music. The voice and  the guitar, and their various forms liaison is old almost as the music itself. However, such a blend is very rare in our country and beyond, and with few exceptions it comes down  to the compromising coexistence trough stereotypical singers repertoire, as such undermined by lack of quality adaptation for guitar,  which could support the voice.

Vox2Feel duo was created on the basis of rejection of those compromises and in true music living. The name itself is derived from a combination  of the words voice , strings, feelings-therefore, the basic material , which is unable to create the music  if it is not initiated by the inner feelings. Regardless of the repertoire, genre or a period, the program of the duo is characterized by the new treatment of the already known pieces, followed by the works specially written  for the duo, as well as the new workswhich have not been performed and which differ in genre from the standard repertoire oh the singer.

Vox2Feel duo will perform tonight  at a very special place in Tirana, at REJA-The Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2013,  designed by multi award-winning Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto. The Pavilion is a delicate, three-dimensional structure; each unit comprises fine steel bars of 800 and 400 mm rectangles. It forms a semi-transparent, irregular canopy, simultaneously protecting visitors from the elements while allowing them to remain part of the landscape.

A selected programme of the best aries and characters they interpret they will bring to the Albanian public: George Frideric Handel,  Antonio Vivaldi, Damma di Arago, Manuel de Falla, René  Dupere, Benoit Jutras, Cirque du Soleil Suite, Joaquín Rodrigo, Vox2Feel,  Henry Purcell, Laid Back, Jules Massenet, George Gershwin etc.

They will perform at 19:00 at REJA in Tirana. The concert are free for the public, this is a ten-year initiative of Argjiro in order to contribute to the promotion of fine music for a larger public, and the promotion and revitalisation of historical and cultural heritage sites of Albania.

The Ministry of Culture of Montenegro made possible the concerts of Vox2Feel duo for the 10th edition of the Festival “Musical Encounters Between Two Worlds”.

This is the 3rd concert of the marathon of the musical encounters proposed from Argjiro for this 10th edition. Next week the public of Tirana and Gjirokastra will have the chance to see two concerts of Cantemu Insieme choir  from Corsica.  Albanian Daily News is the official media partner of the festival.
