The Foreign Affairs Ministry and the Center of Excellence organized in Tirana a conference titled “Investing in Albania; Challenges and Possibilities” as part of a project financed by the Swiss Embassy in Tirana aiming to improve the diplomatic and economic capacities of this institution. 

This activity purpose was to bring together different institutional actors, local businesses and experts and researching institutes in order to exchange their opinions on the Foreign Ministry role as intermediary for the approach of foreign investments in Albania. This conference was attended by the Foreign Affairs Minister Ditmir Bushati, the Minister of Economy, Milva Ekonomi, the Minister of Urban Development, Eglantina Gjermeni, the Minister of Transports, Edmond Haxhinasto, and other high ranks officials.

“The role of diplomacy is omnipresent and foresees numerous commitments toward the foreign trade sector, country’s economic interest promoting in order to urge the foreign investors by illustrating the innumerable possibilities that lay ahead of them in Albania” said Minister Bushati.

This activity will serve as a model of cooperation between the institutions, foreign embassies in Tirana and the foreign businesses.
