'One Citizen, One Tree', this is the title of the latest initiative of the Municipality of Tirana as part of a project eyeing the planting of 100.000 trees in the capital. Mayor Erion Veliaj announced this initiative on Wednesday during the planting of 200 trees in a suburban area of the city.

�I would like to invite every citizen of Tirana to plant a tree. If every grown up man or women of the capital plants a tree Tirana would have some 500.000 trees more by the end of 2018. They may choose to plant a tree in their garden, in a public space or elsewhere contributing in this way in the municipality�s Orbital Forest project,� said Veliaj.

He used a satisfactory tone while referring to the work done so far by the municipality enterprises for this project implementation, while declaring that is the best heritage for the future generations of the Albanian capital.
