Alarming, Albanian Children Malnourished and with Eyesight Problems

A study realized by the Tirana Regional Health Authority assessing the lifestyle of schools in the capital brings to light many problems, especially on the malnourished of the children and eyesight problems.
According to this study based on 800 children aged 8 years, 17% of them cannot attend a lesson due to the eyesight problem, 20% of them have never been visited by the ophthalmologist and 3-4% of children have serious problems.
A big problem is considered even malnourished.
Based on this study, 10% of the children have only one meal per day especially in suburban areas as in Kamza, where 19 of the children are underweight while in urban 9% are over weight and 4% obese.
