Tirana's Mayor Erion Veliaj addresses an appeal to the citizens urging them to show bit of solidarity with the people in need on New Year�s Eve. He invited every citizen that has the financial possibilities to donate a meal to those less fortunate in the framework of New Year.

�Human solidarity is more than needed in similar days. I know that people in need will always experience problems in a city that grows up on daily basis due to the continuous flow from other cities. But, a city like Tirana that generates half of country�s domestic product may also generate half of country�s solidarity,� declared Veliaj.

He made this declaration during the distribution of aid collected by the Municipality of Tirana to the families in need in Berzhita Administrative Unit. The mayor thanked all those that made possible this aid distribution while adding that this kind of solidarity should continue during the entire 2018.
