Berisha Calls Massive Protest against Waste Law
November 23, 2016

Former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha addressed an appeal on Wednesday to his supporters urging them to join the protest against waste import and Waste Law in Albania. The protest, forewarned by the Civil Society, will take place at 23:00 in front of the Parliament.

“An historical civil protest kicks off tonight at 23:00. We should stand united against the waste in the street and in the government” wrote former PM Berisha in his page on the social networks.

Democratic Party has strongly objected the Waste Law adoption by the Parliament. Democratic Party chair, Lulzim Basha and former chair, Berisha have admitted that the adoption of a similar law by the right wing executive three years ago was a mistake. This law was overruled by the left wing executive since the first days of governance.
