Albania's economy has continued to expand in 2016, supported by private investment and household consumption growth, a fact underlined by the World Bank (WB). This declaration was part of a long-speech by Prime Minister, Edi Rama during Thursday's parliamentary session.
“Economic growth is expected to be from 3.3 to 3.5 percent by the end of this year,” declared the chief of executive.
Referring to the World Bank figures PM Rama underlined that fiscal incomes increase continued during this year, leading to a decline in public debt for the first time since the collapse of the global crisis.
“According to the WB public debt will fall steadily in the context of accelerated economic growth,” underlined PM Rama.
