The class struggle was an inhuman crime in the name of the struggle for power. This declaration was part of President of the Republic, Bujar Nishani speech on Friday in the conference held at the Salon of Deputies of the European Parliament on “The crimes of the communist regime in Albania”. During his speech President Nishani criticized the recent “works of art” realized in Albania as an instrument of remembrance of the totalitarian system painful events.

“In Albania, unfortunately, to this day I observed some trends and efforts to revive the bitter past and to justify it in some way. This is a harmful step for the society, especially to the new generations. Consume figures are being currently glorified through so called ‘works of art” and a false illustration of the history,” underlined the Head of State.

According to him despite the entrance in vigor of the resolution which condemned the communist-era crimes since September 30, 2006 the Communism Files Opening Authority was established after a long and unjustified delay.
