Albanian Judges Refuse Another Law of Judicial Reform

The Union of Albanian Judges, the largest such organization in Albania, file a complaint on Friday on the Constitutional Court against another law part of the Judicial Reform.

The union led by Judge Gerd Hoxha unites more than 200 of the 364 judges in Albania and they objected the law for the Status of the Judges and Prosecutors.

This law voted recently in Parliament is considered as unconstitutional by the Union of Judges, which adds that it restricts the rights of judges.

According to them the law violates the legal certainty in relation to some leaders in judicial system mandates’ interruption. They also claim that this law violates the right of career.

This union complained even about the Vetting Law on the same court.
