October 31, 2016

A protest-concert was organized on Sunday afternoon in Tirana by a group of artists in collaboration with the Alliance against Waste Import (AAWI). Hundreds of citizens participated in this singular protest raising the voice against Hydro Power Plants construction in Valbona tourist area and the waste import in Albania.

This protest, organized in the form of a concert, brought to the stage known singers like Eda Zari and Elina Duni, along with a large community of artists from Albania and Kosovo.

“This is horrifying, is painful, an injustice toward the nature and everything inspired by the nature. This is something that may happen to every one of us in a near future. Thus, we must not stand but do something,” said singer Eda Zari while addressing to the public.

Similar protests were organized during last weekend even in Tropoja with the participation of known artists from all over the country.
