Minister of Energetic, Damian Gjiknuri underlined that the master-plan for the gas-system implementation in the entire territory may require up to 30 years. During a speech on Wednesday in a work-meeting focused on this master-plan he said that “TAP pipeline will be the main source for this system”.
“Albania depends mostly from the hydro system for the energy production. Gas system is being considered as an alternative system. This choice is based on two key elements, the environment protection and the price’s stability. We are creating the basis of a development that may be completed within 30 years. It’s up to the Albanian executive to transform this master-plan into a specific development plan” said Gjiknuri.
He concluded by stressing that feasibility study for a pipe-line with Kosovo establishment is already underway.
