
The number of businesses that do not pay taxes has increased. According to official statistics made public by the General Directorate of Taxation, DPT, the list of businesses that do not pay taxes contains 17,471 businesses from 13,778 businesses it had at the end of December 2015.
These businesses are now facing with the security measures on all assets for the execution of all liabilities while the Tax Directorate has started procedure to collect the outstanding taxes by force.
Tax authorities publish the blacklist so that third persons are informed of the commencement of these proceedings and that the state bodies or institutions which have made registration of movable and immovable properties of the debtors taxpayers, can also register the outstanding tax liability as a burden on this property and not allow transactions to transfer them until the tax liabilities are all paid.
