Suicide of the Swedish Man Questioned by Investigators

Police has raised some questions about the “suicide” of the Swedish manager of “Regency Casino,” Jim Backlund. So far, the investigators considered this case as closed, since it was suspected as suicide, but the intervention of the Swedish authorities has made police to re-verify every element of the case, where the main ones are the witnesses in this incident, and possible medical legal expertise. Investigators are trying to find the names of the people who were present in the “last dinner” of the deceased and asked medical legal experts to check possible signs in the body of the 40-year-old man. Investigators want to know what the victim consumed before he died, suspecting that he used cocaine. Another question from them is to inspect the place where the lifeless body was found. The body was not found right under the apartment where he used to live but a few meters away.

On Saturday, the Swedish Embassy asked police to submit an official report for its investigations on this case and the causes of death.
