Austrian Embassy in Tirana quenched any doubt over the Vienna Concert in Tirana on January 2017. Through a press statement on Tuesday the embassy informed that 36 distinct artists, members of Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, and former members of this orchestra, will play in Tirana on January 2, 2017.

’36 renowned artists will perform in Tirana along with the well-known violin player, Shkelzen Doli. Vienna’s Philharmonic Ensemble was established on 2013 thanks to an initiative of Shkelzen Doli. This concert has been organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with AEG Art Production and the financial endorsement of a number of Austrian and Albanian companies. A large part of the concert’s ticket was sold online or in the Palace of Congresses ticket-office,” stated the Austrian Embassy, adding that due to the high interest for this concert only a small part of the music-lovers managed to purchase a ticket.

The Embassy lays the stress on the fact that part of the incomes will be used for charity. SOS village in Albania will receive part of this sum as donation by the concert’s organizers.
