Beqiraj Clarifies the Role of Private Sector in the Collection of VAT

Ministry of Finance clarified once again the way it will be proceeded for the collection of VAT. Deputy Minister, Irena Beqiraj, said on Friday that this process is a partnership agreement between public and private sector for the collection of the income taxes.

After the strong reaction she said that the State will not stay away from the collection of these taxes.

"The document explained clearly the real objective of  the Ministry of Finance. We are speaking about a public-private partnership for the modernization of the digital technology system which monitors the income taxes. It is not a matter of giving away our exclusive rights to private sector. This concession  doesn't mean to give away the rights to the private to make possible the collection of the incomes," said Beqiraj.
