All must be equal in front of the law. German Ambassador in Albania, Suzanna Schutz, speaking on the last investigations against the former socialist Interior Minister, Saimir Tahiri for drugs trafficking and corruption, declared that immunity should not obstacle the investigations.
"I cannot speak on Tahiri issue, because I do not know the details of the process. But in generally I can say that we support the thought that Albania must fight organized crime and corruption.
We expect from Albania to do more and we support the country on the war against crime and corruption, hopping for concrete results. All must be equal in front of the law. In any case immunity should not be used to block the work of the judicial system," underlined Schutz.
