The World Bank urged on Thursday to the Albanian Government that not all the investments can be done with concession.
Speaking on the economical situation while the state budget was being discussed in Parliament, WB says that Albania's national output will grow by 3.8 percent this year thanks to positive investment performance, but warned that in the next two years economic growth will fall.
"Not every investment can be done through concession. Some should be done only by the government, some only by private companies. But all must be seen in the context of a national strategy. The government needs to see which project is profitable," said Maryam Salim, WB's director for Albania.
At the end she evaluated the decrease of the public debt, but criticized the Government plan to exclude from the tax all the luxurious hotels.
