Bulgarian-Greek Triumph in TIFF 15th Edition

The 15th edition of Tirana International Film Festival (TIFF) was finalized with a special evening organized in �Agimi� cinema. A series of awards for the Best Movies in different categories were given during this ceremony.

The festival�s trophy was given to �Glory�, a Greek-Bulgarian movie co-directed by Christina Grozeva and Peter Valchanov. �Glory� brings on screen a social-realistic story that explores corruption, class distinctions and rural-urban divisions in the contemporaneous Bulgarian society. This movie won the prize awarded by the festival�s jury.

The Best Director award was given to Gentian Ko�i for his �Daybreak� movie while �In Albanian� won the prize of Best Short Movie.

�On the Edge of Life� Syrian documentary, directed by Yaser Kasaab, which presents the audience with a personal touch of pain and displacement in a pending existence.

The Kosovan director Edon Rizvanolli won a prize for The Best Script with his movie �Unwanted�.

Over 250 movies were screened during TIFF�s15th edition that raised the curtains on November 3.
