Albanian patriot, thinker and renowned Renaissance�s poet, Naim Frasheri, will be commemorated through a special conference in Tehran, Iran. The news was given by the director of �Saadi Shirazi� cultural foundation, Professor Doktor Seyed Ahmad Hosseini Alast during a conference in the framework of the 20th anniversary of �Pearl� magazine which was organized in the Academy of Sciences premises.

During a brief speech Alast said it is very important for Albania and Iran to pursue strong cultural ties between them, promoting the respective cultures.

�In order for the Iranian people to get to know more about Albanian history and culture we plan to organize in Tehran an international conference in honor of Naim Frash�ri, in cooperation with Iranian cultural centers and universities. This conference dedicated to this great Albanian national poet is based on the fact that he wrote in Persian language the first poetic volume "Tehajjulat" (Dreams) 150 years ago. The introduction of this hero of the Albanian literature with the Iranian people is more than a necessity,� said Alast.

The important role played by the �Pearl� magazine, which in many articles has presented and evaluated the work of numerous Albanian erudite was also emphasized during this cultural activity.
