'Monger' Ballet will return in the National Opera and Ballet Theater (NOBT) stage on December 3 and 4 for the last time during this artistic season. This piece, whose choreographies are designed by the known Israeli choreograph, Barack Marshall, was presented for the first time to the Albanian public last May. The art-lovers appreciated the movements, the melodrama, the beautiful music with gypsy and Balkan motives, intertwined with classical music of Handel and Verdi.
The Albanian Ballet was given for the first time the chance to collaborate with one of the most known modern choreographers on a global scale. Marshall unified his imagination with the energy of dancers like Loreta Bala, Rovena Shqevi, Ledia Sulaj, Armela Prifti, Tea Ajazi, Dion Gjinika and many others generating a wonderful show.
Dramatically provocative, surreal and amusing “Monger” ballet will return to the public with a large dose of humor. This ballet, defined as an excellent creation, intelligent and full of humor by the critics, focuses on the power and free will issue, and also on the compromise made by everyone while trying to survive.
