The Head of Democratic Party (DP) Security Department, Enkelejd Alibeaj accused Prime Minister, Edi Rama of holding a denial attitude toward drugs trafficking. Through a press release on Wednesday he made a balance of the drugs quantities recently seized by Greek and Italian police.
“Over 2 tons of drugs were recently seized after crossing the Albanian border. Half of this quantity was seized in Greece while the 2nd half was seized in Italy. This is a worrisome figure, considering the fact that only one in ten shipments is seized by the police. Meanwhile PM Rama keeps denying this fact, stressing that drugs’ issue is in-existent in Albania,” declared Alibeaj.
According to him the executive’s involvement in this criminal business is a frightening reality that incriminates the society, infringes country’s image, and becomes a obstacle for the European integration process.
