The city of Gjirokastra will become subject to an integral restoration process aiming the preservation of the historical districts and monuments. City’s castle will be part of this process, along with the weapons museum situated inside this object. This fact was confirmed by the Minister of Culture, Mirela Kumbaro. She declared that the restoration process will begin with the first category objects. Kumbaro underlined also that ticket’s price for the visitors will be changed at the end of this process. Recent figures related to the tourist flux in Gjirokastra show a visible increase. This fact is related to the recent restoration in a number of areas of this city.
