Drug Plane, Italian Pilot Riformato Claims Innocence

The Italian pilot Giorgio Riformato, condemned to 15-years imprisonment by the Serious Crimes Court for international drugs trafficking addresses to the Court of Appeal. Riformato demands the annulment of the First Degree Court verdict claiming his innocence. He continues to remain firmly on his stance denying the charges of international drugs trafficking. Riformato claims that his trip to Albania by plane was only for tourist purposes.

Riformato was arrested by the police in Divjaka beach after his plane crashed during landing. Police seized over 460 kg of marijuana loaded in the crashed plane.
