Mayor of Pustec Arrested

Mayor of Pustec commune, in Albania, Edmond Themelko was arrested on Friday in the town of Resen in FYR Macedonia. Themelko is suspected of electoral fraud in FYROM, due to his involvement in the unlawful organization of the Slav Macedonian minority in this commune for the recent elections in FYROM. Thousands of citizens of this commune in Albania have been unlawfully issued with Macedonian IDs to vote in FYROM.

Themelko is part of the “Titanic” case for electoral rigging in FYROM, which has charged a number of people for electoral fraud, bribery in exchange of the vote and violation of the right to vote.
