The leader of Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, said on Friday that the draft agreed by the parties for the National Bureau of Investigation was realized by the US experts and based on the Venice Commission recommendations. According to him, Prime Minister, Edi Rama, fears investigation of high-level and for that reason he tried to postponed the functionality of the Bureau as much as he can.
Basha said that the draft for the Bureau has no reason to be part of the justice reform, since they have agreed now and there is no need for constitutional amends. One day ago, the Parliament leader asked the Democratic Party to bring the draft in Parliament, but Basha is against it. According to him, the opposition doesn't have the votes to pass this initiative.
