Rama: "A new Level of Economic Legality"

The Prime Minister, Edi Rama, introduced some results of the operation against informality. According to him, there have been 94.000 inspections throughout the country, thousands of subjects have been registered voluntarily and 17.000 new fiscal agreements have been signed.
Rama said the number of released purchase bills has increased with 55 million, and the declared turnover has raised with 52%, which shows that the potential of the action’s result is still to come. He also answered to the critics made by the US Chamber of Commerce.
“The leaders of the US Chamber of Commerce must tell us what happens in the US when someone is caught with tax evasion,” said Rama. Meanwhile, speaking to the opposition, he said that Albania will drop from the “Doing Business” classification of the World Bank, but he explained it is due to the blockage of constructions, a measure to stop illegal building and to stop abuses with their permits.
