US Chamber of Commerce: Taxes Are Sending Businesses to Bankruptcy"

The Chamber of Commerce declared that the new law voted recently in Parliament for Tax Procedures, risks to create bankruptcy for businesses.
Businesses of the US Chamber of Commerce reacted to the measures foreseen by the law, saying that fines and penalties are not proportional with what businesses make.  "Fines are decided by a given percentage, based on the turnover level or on the total of paid taxes, which means that a business with a 8 million turnover cannot be fined with 10 million, because it would go immediately on bankruptcy. We are talking about business categories that do not have a proper fiscal education, don't have the financial possibilities to have experts available," declared in a press statement the Chamber.
The US Chamber of commerce also says that the law does not provide drastic measures for tax officers who have the freedom to interpret the measures to the point of raising the risk of abuses.
