The head of the Parliamentary Group of Socialist Party (SP), Taulant Balla had a meeting and then a press conference this Thursday with the German MP, Nikola Label.
Asked about the Independent Qualification Committee (IQC) work and the vetting process, Balla said that is working in full independency without links with Government or the ruling majority.
"IQC is completely independent from politics, and the essence of reform has been the ultimate removal of justice policy. I am sorry that the Democratic Party undertakes to comment, but we will never be part of any comment on an independent committee, which we all, 140 MPs of the Parliament, have left in hand to the International Monitoring Operation," said Balla.
Meanwhile, German MP spoke about Albania's integration towards European Union and its long path.
"We are aware that the road is long, but we are here to help you. Sometimes reforms in the rule of law take much time, such as judicial reform, which is long and deep," said Label.
