The Alliance for Theater Protection has called on Tuesday for a marching protests on July 12th, in order to show their opposition for National Theater's demolition.
According to them, the march will take place before the Prime Ministry towards Presidency and will end in front of the National Theater.
"From 5 months now, thousands of citizens have raised their voice against National Theater's demolition. Thousands of citizens have joined to the daily protests against theft of public property in favor of a construction firm. Hundreds of artists and architects have opposed the destruction of historical and spiritual heritage. And yet Parliament on Thursday decided to ignore the voices of the Albanians, adopting a special law that takes the public land of the Theater and gives it to the "Fusha" company. This is not democracy, but dictatorship," said the Alliance.
They called the citizens and all of those who are against the demolition, to join on Thursday at 18:30p.m, to march against the government and the Prime Minister to withdraw, and the President turn back the shameful law adopted by Parliament.
