Tirana's Municipal Council approved this Thursday the proposition for the increase of wages for kindergarten's and nursery's educators, giving an assessment of the extraordinary work they are doing for the children of Tirana.
Mayor Erion Veliaj said that kindergartens of Tirana offer much better conditions than before, also comparing them with private ones.
"This is very good news for hundreds of educators in Tirana. Now that the Municipality has more finances, after the firefighters, we promised to raise the salary to the educators. I want to thank them for the sacrifice they make every day. Projects "Adopt a Nursery" and "Adopt a Kindergarten" are two of the most beautiful programs, but also a good way to show that the priorities of the Municipality are the children of Tirana and the next generation," said Veliaj.
He added that the Municipal's Council, has taken more decisions that have to do with financial help for families in need, housing them and assisting when natural damages occur.
