Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati has started on Monday an official visit to Japan, during which he will meet with his counterpart, Taro Kono.
The focus of this visit is the bilateral cooperation and the deepening of economic relations between the two countries.
Earlier this day, he held meetings with the Japanese Economy, Trade and Industry Minister, Hiroshige Seko, Japanese Business Federation President, Yoshio Sato, as well as attended the event organized by the Albanian Embassy in Tokyo "One Day of Albanian Community in Tokyo".
Minister Bushati assured the Japanese interlocutors that Albania thanks to its geographic position and the reforms undertaken for its development and its approximation with the EU, is currently a very favorable entry gateway for foreign investments for an even larger market, including all the Balkan region.
"Albania is a country with high investment potential and a solid platform for expanding Japanese investment in the Western Balkans region. We value Japan's increased attention towards our region and the Western Balkans Initiative is an important tool for promoting closer relations between our countries," said Bushati.
Albanian Minister's visit to Japan will continue during next day, where the meetings with his counterpart Komo, Japanese parliament, JICA and JETRO, will be held.
