Director General for Enlargement at the European Commission in Brussels, Christian Danielsson wished 'Happy Europe Day' from Tirana this Wednesday, where he had a meeting with Prime Minister, Edi Rama.
"Good exchange with Prime Minister, Edi Rama on the steps ahead for the upcoming Sofia Summit, justice reform and vetting. Keeping up the current positive reform momentum, in particular in the 'Rule of Low' sector is the key to advance on the EU path," said Danielsson after the meeting with Albanian Premier.
Earlier this day he had a meeting with Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati. He evaluated as very productive discussion with Bushati considering 2018 a vital year for Albania.
"Using the current window of opportunities by pursuing ambitious reforms that will bring lasting benefits to the citizens is pivotal on the road to the EU," Danielsson underlined.
