The Government of Albania has opened the pre-qualification stage for companies interested in bidding for the rehabilitation of the Tirana-Durresi Railway line as well as the construction of the new Tirana-Rinas connection. The new railway line is to link the Airport to Tirana and begins at the 27th kilometer of the Tirana-Durresi motorway and will be very near the airport, meaning there will be a station nearby. Albaniannews.com has learned that the contract entails a series of construction works and the delivery deadline is 30 months following the contract signing. The document submission deadline is reported to expire on May 31st, 2018.
