Some 330.000 Albanians have abandoned the country during the last seven years. The Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) made public on Monday the last statistics which showed that the record of the emigrations was on 2011 with 52.000.
After that terrible year of so many Albanians leaving the country, 2017 has been the second year with the highest number of Albanians which leave the country, 40,000.
Emigration, is the main reason leading to population shrinkage and is also severely damaging the health service in the country.
The last three years have left the country more than 600 doctors.
The worst side of this is that half of Albanians which are actually living in this country are planning to leave. According to the Balkan Barometer poll, 50% of those asked in 2017 are planning to leave the country.
