The Minister of Diaspora, Pandeli Majko, held a meeting on Thursday with the Senator of the state of Michigan, at the same time Chairman of the Group for Albanian Affairs in the Senate, Gary Peters.
The main topic of the meeting was, the effort the Albanian government is doing to strengthen Diaspora relations throughout the world and the importance that government devotes to the Albanian community in the US as one of the largest.
"We are working to enable a better co-ordination of Albanians abroad, not just for their greater representation in the host country, but also for establishing stronger ties between community members" said Majko.
Meanwhile Senator Peters said from his side, that members of the Albanian community in Michigan are wealthy for the state he represents and that very soon he will visit Albania.
