Bardhyl Kollcaku will be the new chief of the General Staff of Armed Forces. He was decreed on Monday by the President of the Republiv, Ilir Meta.

He will replace in this important official post Jeronim Baze, who was denied the request to maintain his position, by the former head of state Bujar Nishani.

Bardhyl Kollcaku was graduated in the military academy as a tactical intelligence officer in 1990.

Afterwards he was appointed Director in Directorate J5/8, J2 and J3 of the General Staff.

He has also served as a director in the Directorate of International Collaborations, and other positions of important international milieu. He has also served as the director of the General Agency of Intelligence, Security and Defense in 2015.
