�The drinking water supply situation in Tirana is improving.� Mayor, Erion Veliaj announced this fact during an inspection on Sunday of the works for a new water-supply network in one of the city�s main neighborhoods. He underlined that situation improvement is the result of the work done by the City Hall�s Task Force and the interruption of numerous illicit connections to the main network.

�The continuous inspections by the Task Force in the most problematic areas enabled an improvement of the drinking water supply situation during the last weeks. Many illicit connections to the main network were discovered during these inspections. I want to address an appeal to the citizens to help us identify the abuses with drinking water by reporting every episode to the competent authorities,� said Veliaj.

He promised that the City Hall will continue to invest in the water-supply system in order to provide a more qualitative service to the citizens.
