The teacher, great linguist and expert of Albanian culture, Eqerem �abej will be commemorated from now on through a temple that bears his name.
An initiative undertaken by his daughter, Brikena �abej along with her husband, Gjergj Shiko, in collaboration with a group of experts and admirers of his work, enabled his two-storey villa transformation into a institute dedicated to him.

Language experts, historians, Albanian literature experts and many others were present during the institute inauguration ceremony. �abej�s daughter underlined the fact that this will be an independent cultural and non-profitable institution with no connection to the public administration or political parties. The main goal of this institution will be to publish and promote his scientific and literary heritage in a domestic and international level.
