Cultural monuments in the northern district of Shkodra, largely damaged due to the long-absence of proper maintenance, will be restored during this year. National Culture Regional Directory in Shkodra is already drafting a series of projects which are expected to be approved by the Ministry of Culture. 

A special care will be dedicated to Drishti’s castle, one the last castles still populated in Albania. This castle has not been subject to any restoration process since being proclaimed historical monument. Even the museum situated inside the wall has no element that may attract the visitors. 

Mesi’ Bridge and other cultural objects of this city will also be restored during this project implementation.
