Road Maintenance, Albania Euro64.9 million Loan from World Bank

Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Transportation signed on Friday a loan agreement with World Bank for road maintenance in the country. According to the Minister of Finance, Shkelqim Cani, this agreement is of major interest to the Albanian Economy. The loan reaches an amount of Euro65.9 million for a period of 22.5 years. During the signature process the Minister of Transportation, Edmond Haxhinasto, said that some USD90 million are  needed to bring the roads back to normal . According to him, this loan will help transportation, economy and it will reduce the number of the accidents in Albania. More than 1400 km of roads will meet the required standards with this loan.
