Anti-Corruption Inquiry Leads to Judge’s Suspension from Duty

An anti-corruption inquiry by the Prosecution Office was concluded with a suspension order for a High Court member, the judge Majlinda Andrea. The suspension order is related to the charges of passive corruption. Prosecution inquiry has proven that a sum of Euro 50.000 was paid to judge Andrea for a verdict during an asset’ recognition trial. This sum was given to the judge through her spouse, Odise Andrea. The security measure issued on behalf of the Andrea consorts was not implemented due to their departure abroad. An international arrest warrant has been issued on behalf of judge Majlinda Andrea.
