The planting of some 150 cypresses, part of an initiative of the municipality of Tirana, restores the identity of a neighborhood widely known with the same name.
Mayor Erion Veliaj joined the trees planting process on Tuesday while declaring that this process will be extended in every neighborhood of the capital.
�The planting of some 150 cypresses trees in this neighborhood that bears the same name restores its identity. Now it�s up to the inhabitants to protect these saplings that will soon give a breath of fresh air to their neighborhood,� said Veliaj, while adding that this process will be gradually extended all over the capital.
He declared that trees planting actions will continue to be organized by the municipality in every important date during this year.
�Our objective is to plant some 100.000 trees until March 21. That�s why I appeal to every citizens or private business to contribute in this process of crucial importance for the future generations,� said the Mayor.
