The approach of the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) with Democratic Party (DP) has brought concerns to the Democrats' allies.
The Head of Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, in an public reaction this Tuesday, clarified the position of SMI. He said that this political party is not in coalition with DP but is in the same political position.
"SMI is part of an opposition political and civic front, for the remove of the government and the Prime Minister. On the other hand, we must make a clear distinction between the right political coalition and the political position of SMI.
The DP coalition is a right coalition, while SMI is a leftist political party. What we are trying to do is to make a 'right' that is functional and has a close conversation with the citizens to make the DP vision clear and to make the citizens to co-associate in the upcoming elections�, said Mediu.
